The movie Shrek is a great example of satirical techniques as it parodies traditional fairy tales. It follows the ogre Shrek who is disturbed by a quest to retrieve his beloved swamp back from the hands of Lord Farquaad. Shrek also involves real fairy-tale characters such as Cinderella, Pinocchio, Snow White and more. It clearly does not cross the line as it is a children's film, however it demonstrates satire quite well.
